dōTERRA has officially named Johnson as the company’s new President as it continues expanding its global operations.
The good news?
This announcement doesn’t involve lawsuits, regulators, frozen withdrawals, or someone mysteriously disappearing to Dubai.
That’s becoming refreshingly rare these days.
A New Role
Johnson previously served as dōTERRA’s Chief Communications Officer.
Now he’ll oversee broader company operations while helping guide the Executive Council and support the company’s long-term strategy.
According to dōTERRA, Johnson brings nearly twenty years of experience in communications, media relations, public affairs, and organizational leadership.
That’s a solid résumé.
And probably a lot more useful than being able to promise “guaranteed passive income.”
Murray Smith Isn’t Going Anywhere
Current President Murray Smith isn’t leaving the company.
Instead, he’s moving into the role of Executive Vice President of International, where he’ll continue leading dōTERRA’s expanding global markets.
So this isn’t a case of someone being shown the door.
It’s more like rearranging the furniture so everyone can focus on what they do best.

Growth Brings New Responsibilities
As companies grow internationally, leadership naturally becomes more specialized.
Managing operations across dozens of countries isn’t exactly something you can coordinate with a few sticky notes and a group chat.
dōTERRA believes this new structure will help strengthen execution while supporting continued growth around the world.
Time will tell, but organizational planning is generally a lot healthier than waiting until something breaks before deciding who should fix it.
Final Thoughts

Jesus demonstrated that better than anyone.

That’s completely opposite to the way the world often defines success.
Titles eventually change.
Careers eventually end.
Companies eventually pass leadership to someone else.
But Jesus Christ never changes.
He is the perfect King, the perfect Shepherd, and the perfect Savior.
He gave His life on the cross for our sins and rose again so that anyone who believes in Him can be forgiven and receive eternal life.
No promotion, business success, or career achievement compares to knowing Christ.
If you’ve never trusted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, today is the perfect time to come to Him.
He alone offers the hope, peace, and eternal life that this world can never provide.
